Match Analysis

Individual Analysis. Clear insights.

MatchLab reviews your match footage through our internal player intelligence system — MatchLab IQ, Genius, and X-Ray — to give you a clear, honest picture of your strengths, habits, blind spots, and development priorities.

Our analysis framework

The MatchLab System

We organize player analysis through three lenses, giving athletes a clearer view of how they play, what separates them, and what needs to improve.

MatchLab IQ

Game Understanding

We look at decision-making, scanning, spacing, timing, role awareness, tactical discipline, and how effectively the player solves problems inside the game.

MatchLab Genius

Standout Traits

We identify the player’s strongest qualities — the actions, instincts, technical habits, or physical tools that may separate them from others in their role.

MatchLab X-Ray

Habits & Blind Spots

We expose repeat patterns, weaknesses, risk areas, and development gaps that may not be obvious to the player or family watching from the sideline.

What you receive

A clear report. Not vague feedback.

Every analysis is built to give the player something practical: a better understanding of their game, their current profile, and what to work on next.

Player Profile Summary

Technical & Tactical Notes

Development Priorities

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Quick answers about footage, analysis, reports, and how the process works.

What type of footage do I need?
Full-match footage is best. Veo, Hudl, YouTube, cloud folder links, or downloadable files can all work as long as the player is identifiable throughout the match.
Do you analyze the whole match?
Yes. The analysis is based on full-match review, not just highlight clips. The goal is to understand the player’s habits, decisions, role, and impact across the game.
Is this a scouting report?
It is a player-facing analysis dossier built with a scouting-style framework. It is designed to help players and families understand the player’s profile, strengths, risks, and development priorities.
Can this help with recruiting?
Yes. The report can help clarify a player’s profile, identify what should be highlighted, and support better conversations with coaches, clubs, academies, or college programs.
Will I receive a PDF?
Yes. Final analysis is delivered as a clean player dossier in PDF format. Depending on the package, the report may also include clip references, role projection, and recruiting-readiness notes.
